Later life

Douglas mawson married francisa adriana on the 31st July 1905. He had two children named patricia who was born in 1915 and Jessica who was born in 1917. Douglas got medals and trophies when he came back from his journey. He sadly died on the 14th f October at the age of 75 at Britton home.

Achievements

Sir Douglas Manson did a lot of achievements. One of them was that he claimed 7692024km of land of Antarctica for Australia. He s Australia's most famous antarctic explorer for what he did and what he went throw. He got lots of medals and trophies for what he did and everyone thought he was amazing and they still do today.
